Misleading statistics pacify nervous and unwary investors

           On the 4th of April, I flipped on CNBC to hear the anchor, Erin Burnett, exclaim "I have NEVER heard such a strong consensus by big investors that now is the time to buy stocks".  And on April 6th I saw an article entitled "Bears Give Up; Biggest Switch in Sentiment in 7 years".  Well, here we go again!  I don't know about readers, but my initial reaction to these statements were - "Get me to the lifeboat; I want to be at a safe distance when that ship takes a torpedo."
