Cooking Corner - Blueberry Lemonade

Written By: Ellen Kleven  |  Posted: Saturday, July 23rd, 2011

In the heat of summer, a cool drink is hard to beat. From the simplest glass of ice water to the most exotic smoothie, a refreshing beverage is always enjoyable. A special lunch, dinner, or even a group gathering provides an excuse to get creative with drinks.

Most people don't take the time or put much thought into beverages. The furthest it usually goes is buying an already made drink such as soda, sweet tea, various alcoholic beverages, or juices. I think one of the biggest reasons people turn to pre-made or one-step products (Kool-Aid, lemonade, etc.) is because drinks are often just one more thing to think about and do. I myself am guilty of the last minute fixes now and again, but when I make sure to think ahead and plan out my menu, a fun drink is simple and quick, and adds a fun twist to the occasion.
