E. C. County Referendum to ask if Corporations are People

The Eau Claire County Board of Supervisors recently unanimously approved to place on the November ballot an advisory referendum about a federal constitutional amendment concerning corporate donations to political campaigns.

            Promoted by the local chapter of an organization called MoveToAmend.org, the referendum will ask, "Should the United States Constitution be amended to establish that regulating political contributions and spending is not equivalent to limiting freedom of speech, by stating that only human beings, not corporations, unions and PACs are entitled to constitutional rights?"
