Where has Purity Gone?

For many years my family went to church in Chippewa Falls and the road there took us past an adult "party" store, Pure Pleasures. The name Pure Pleasures always sounded strange to me. What could be pure about a store that makes a profit off of the lusts of mankind? A huge American flag flew on the grounds of Pure Pleasures as if to suggest that frequenting such an establishment was the American way. Perhaps it was a true testament of the state of our society. Proverbs 30:12 says, "There is a generation that are pure in their own eyes, and yet is not washed from their filthiness."
According to Wikipedia, "Fifty Shades of Grey topped best-seller lists around the world, selling over 125 million copies worldwide by June 2015." When the movie was released in Theaters in February 2015, it grossed $85,171,450 opening weekend here in the US (boxofficemojo.com). Is it not ironic that on the 9th of February, in the midst of Sexual Abuse and Sexual Violence Awareness Week (Feb. 5-11), the third instalment of this twisted Hollywood romance, Fifty Shades Freed, opened in theaters? Right after the nation weeps for the girls sexually abused by, Larry Nassar, folks rush to the cinema to get a good dose of sexual corruption masqueraded as a kinky love story. In light of this trend for portraying evil as good it's hardly surprising to find situations like that of the USA Gymnastics national team doctor, Larry Nassar, who has been convicted of molesting over 150 girls in the past few decades.
