Marriage in Crisis

Written By: Mary Ellen Steward  |  Posted: Sunday, August 5th, 2018

Every marriage has it's strengths and struggles and every couple sets out striving for a strong, positive marriage. Marriage can be messy but there's so much good that comes from two people working through the challenges of life as a team.

Proverbs 14:4 says, "Where no oxen are, the crib is clean: but much increase is by the strength of the ox." Mark Gungor, author of Laugh Your Way to a Better Marriage, applies the wisdom of the verse to marriage, saying, "If you want the benefit of having an ox, you're going to have to endure the poo that comes with it. The goal is to have a positive poo to ox ratio." Unfortunately, marriage is under attack in America and more people are foregoing the ox in trade for the clean crib.
