Choose Your God

I would like for you to turn with me to Joshua, chapter 24, and follow as I read the following verses: "Now therefore fear the Lord, and serve him in sincerity and in truth: and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the flood (river), and in Egypt; and serve ye the Lord. And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom you will serve; whether the gods that your fathers served on the other side of the flood (river), or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house we will serve the Lord."-Josh. 24:14-15
Joshua wrote that if the people decided not to worship Jehovah, the true God of Heaven, then they must choose some other god or some other gods. Everybody has a god or gods of some kind. In ancient times every city and every pursuit of life had its particular god or goddess.
