Years ago, I remember seeing a John Wayne movie called "Angel and the Bad Man." John Wayne was the bad man getting in trouble with the law. The excellent, old wise sheriff was keeping a close eye on John; waiting to catch him breaking the law. He figured it would be just a matter of time before he would be stringing John up by a rope. The justice system worked a lot faster back then, than what it does today.
The wise old sheriff would keep sneaking up on Wayne's backside totally unexpected. He, and his horse, would be standing right behind John, without John knowing it. John wanted to know how he could sneak up so quietly with his horse and not be detected. The sheriff explained that he had been an Indian fighter and had trained his horse to be perfectly quiet. It was his Indian horse.
