A Comparison of the Iowa and Wisconsin Republican Party Platforms

This is the first in a series comparing party platforms. Next issue will compare four national political parties (Democratic, Republican, Constitution, and Libertarian parties).

Both the Iowa Republican Party and the Wisconsin Republican party have come out with their 2010 state party platforms. Please note that the Wisconsin GOP platform is shorter and outlines basic principles while the Iowa GOP platform, while giving basic principles, is more exhaustive. Check out the two platforms yourself by visiting their websites: www.wisgop.org and www.iowagop.org. We would like you to note some interesting differences between these two statements on the issues:
