Why Can't I Boycott Public Unions?

Written By: Travis Buhler  |  Posted: Monday, April 4th, 2011

As reported in the last issue of the Eau Claire Journal, various police, Firefighters, and educators unions  from Wisconsin issued a warning to the management of M & I Banks and Kwik Trip Convenience Stores stating that they would face a boycott if they did not publicly oppose the recently passed bill limiting collective bargaining privileges for public employee unions.  Their reason is because the companies either supported Governor Walker's campaign, had executives who supported the campaign, or are members of the Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce, a pro-business organization.

Neither corporation responded to their demands.  The deadline was last Thursday and already, many have observed the boycott in effect.
