Facebook for First-Graders? Are You Concerned?

Rules or no rules, preteens are using Facebook.

                Facebook's current policy clearly prohibits anyone under the age of 13 from operating an account on the site. Still over 7.5 million under-13 accounts exist, and of those, 5 million of them are under the age of 10. According to stats, the majority of parents with 12-year-olds know that their kids are on Facebook. Of course, that doesn't necessarily mean they are cool with it, but they aren't stopping them either. What's most disturbing is that, in many cases, parents have helped their kids circumvent the rules.
