A pastor and his family recounts their exciting adventure as tourists in the eternal city

            "Everything we are we owe to Greece," said the desk manager at the hotel we were checking into. "All that we were as an empire, and are as a nation, has its roots in Greece. Some of our greatest cities, like Naples, were originally Greek colonies." It was passing strange for an American to hear a citizen of a nation that predates his own by a couple thousand years thus sing the praises of a civilization older still.
