CBS Firework Scam

            Boston authorities admit that they "photo-shopped" the live fireworks program July 4th on CBS. This went undetected until locals who knew the city said some of the shots were impossible. When asked, authorities admitted the slight of hand and told how they did it. Prior to the show they had taken night shots of the sky from various locations including Old North Church, the State House, Quincy Market, the statue of Paul Revere, and Fenway Park. Then using a technique called matting, they superimposed the live fireworks display on the background pictures to promote the city. They claimed it was entertainment, not news, so it was all right. However, many were not impressed. If CBS does this with fireworks, what are they doing with the news? - JWS
