Emergency Contraceptive Pill Approved by FDA
A European manufactured pill marketed as a five-day-after contraceptive pill has just been approved by the Food and Drug Administration. The pill, like it's controversial predeccessor, RU-486, can be used to induce an abortion. The drug, called "ella", introduces chemicals that prevent the production of eggs, but this chemical also prevents the implantation of embryos thus murdering the baby. But since it has only been tested as a contraceptive, it is not considered an abortion drug.
