Mark Neumann's Campaign for Governor

The 2010 primary elections for the Republican nominee for governor is a little over a month away and candidate Mark Neumann is not giving up in his quest for nomination. This week he was in the Chippewa Valley holding his "Freedom Forums" old-fashioned town hall meetings. A couple of weeks ago Neumann held a town hall meeting in Menomonie.
What impressed me about Mark Neumann after hearing him speak is his amount of political experience compared to his business experience. His only time in office was his two terms as a representative in Washington. Otherwise, he owns a homebuilding business that has been successful even after the end of the housing boom. Compare this to the other major candidates for governor, Scott Walker and Tom Barrett, who each have over 16 years of political experience and little private sector experience. Neumann is more of an outsider with just enough political experience to understand the game. And he would like to use his CEO experience to change the present economic state of Wisconsin for the better. He gives specifics on how he would do this, which is more than what I have seen from the other major candidates.
