An Old Time Neighborhood Barber Shop

Though I am young, I still remember going to the barber shop in downtown Hayward to get my hair cut. I was a teenager and the thought of a mom-quality buzz on my head for all of the high school student body to see horrified me. And since I had the money, I would give Mr. Wittwer $7.00 after I received a professional haircut (boy, haircuts were cheap way back in the 90's).
The barber shop is still around just like many downtown barber shops all across the country. Though strip malls abound in cost-cutting, full service hair-care centers, there is still a demand from men for a barber shop style cut from a neighborhood barber shop. And Heine Stappelmann's Barber Shop on Bellinger Street in Eau Claire fits the bill. A small room filled with magazines, artifacts from Germany, two barber chairs, and some old men provides the perfect atmosphere for a nostalgic session of conversations and clippings while Heine effortlessly gives you the perfect trim.
