A More Realistic View of the State Budget

State Assembly passes GAAP accounting amendment resolution

Last year's budget bill placed a cap on how many people can enroll in a state welfare program known as Family Care.  The purpose was not to slow the growth of wealth redistribution and eventually eliminate it.  According to a press release issued by local State Senator Terry Moulton, "The 2011-13 state budget established a cap on the program until the Department of Health Services was able to find efficiencies within the program that would help stabilize it and make it sustainable."
