Life on the Family Farm Under an Open Heaven - Memorial Day

As a young child growing up, I never knew what Memorial Day really was. I knew a lot of people got long weekends off to go to the lake or to do whatever else they wanted. But for m e it was just another work day on my parents' dairy farm.
That all changed one summer day when I was helping my Uncle George on his dairy farm. George was a very hard working dairy farmer who had never gotten married. So, he greatly appreciated it when I could come and help him during the summer months. He had a 240 acre dairy farm, with beautiful rolling crop land, and three different woods on it.
