Life on the Family Farm Under an Open Heaven - Memorial Day

                 As a young child growing up, I never knew what Memorial Day really was. I knew a lot of people got long weekends off to go to the lake or to do whatever else they wanted. But for me it was just another work day on my parents' dairy farm.

                That all changed one summer day when I was helping my Uncle George on his dairy farm. George was a very hard working dairy farmer who had never gotten married. So, he greatly appreciated it when I could come and help him during the summer months. He had a 240 acre dairy farm, with beautiful rolling crop land, and three different woods on it.
