Corporations, People, and Free Speech

                This paper has published a number of articles on the issue of corporate influences over the government.  As a conservative paper, we boldly defend the right of an individual to speak freely and to use his property, including his money, however he wants, as long as it doesn't violate the rights or property of others.  At issue is whether these rights are given to government recognized corporate entities, otherwise referred to as corporations.  These would include any businesses, organizations, unions, or any entity that is, what is commonly called, "incorporated".

                This issue will be on the November 6th ballot in Eau Claire County.  A referendum states,
