Retired Teachers Get Bargain from Loss of Collective Bargaining

Much has been reported on how many schools across Wisconsin have been able to reduce their budgets due to the loss of most collective bargaining rights last spring. In fact, many schools have been able to hire teachers instead of the layoffs many were expecting. But such hirings comes with a catch to Wisconsin taxpayers.
Many teachers retired earlier this year due to fears of layoffs and possible reductions in pension payments. Now that things have changed, schools are rehiring not only new teachers, but also recently retired teachers. The problem with this according to Brian Sikma of MediaTrackers.org:
