Health Benefits of Homemade Soap

            Does making soap conjure up images of pioneers with giant black cauldrons stirring boiling hot liquid over a camp fire all day?  Why would anyone today go through the trouble (not to mention the dangerous chemicals) of making soap when one can go to any grocery store and buy soap for a few dollars? The benefits of homemade soap may surprise you.

             Being naturally intrigued by all things old or traditional, my daughter and I decided to give it a try.  We choose goat milk soap because a friend of the family raises goats for milk.  I also had over 50 pounds of lard in the freezer and this gave me an extra incentive to try the experiment.
