Building Codes and Property Rights

                The last Wisconsin Legislative session passed a bill that forced all county and municipal governments to not exceed the minimum state building codes and requirements.  The bill was promoted as a waste reducing and a job encouraging measure and was sponsored by a few of the representatives of the Chippewa Valley.  If a county in the past required builders to follow certain regulations that exceeded what the State required, those regulations are now eliminated.
