Phobia of Guns Drives Eau Claire County Board to Oppose Conceal Carry

Phobia - a persistent, irrational fear of a specific object, activity, or situation that leads to a compelling desire to avoid it. (Dictionary.com). Irrational fear is the driving force behind the Eau Claire County Board's recent passage of a resolution sent to Gov. Walker to express the Board's opposition to Senate Bill 93, the conceal carry legislation which was passed with bi-partisan support by the Wisconsin legislature. Gov. Walker is scheduled to sign the bill Friday, July 8th.
What is it about guns that stirs such irrational fear by the majority of our county board members? There is no statistical evidence to support their fears. Let's examine some statistics:
