The Root of the Matter

                Removing God from the public square in America has been tried for the past fifty or more years. It has, in my observation, failed.  In fact, more than ever, it has seemingly come roaring back with a vengeance.

                Yes, it is true that God Almighty has been defaced from the public school "liturgy" along with His expulsion from everything from textbooks to courthouse yards.  Not long ago a worker in our local courthouse started to give me an answer to an informal religious question, then stopped.  "I shouldn't be answering that," she said.  Why?  Because she was walking through the hall at work in the court house, therefore thought it out of place.
