Chippewa Falls Hides Reckless Spending?

              Last year the City of Chippewa Falls began resurfacing the old Business Highway 29 (River Street). The State of Wisconsin turned the responsibility for maintenance of the city portion of that street over to the City of Chippewa Falls several years ago. Since the street was not in good repair, the State gave Chippewa Falls sufficient funds to cover the cost of resurfacing.

            In an email obtained by the Eau Claire Journal from the City Engineer, we read:
