Wiersgalla? I knew what my first question would be when I sat down with Paul for our interview. "Are you from Arcadia?" I asked. "I grew up there and I knew a Wiersgalla family!" "No," said Paul, "But I have lots of relatives buried behind St. Peter and Paul's Church in Independence!" Well, close enough!

I love the smell of coffee shops. I looked up at the list behind the counter and so as not to take up   a lot of time from the numerous choices, I ordered an extra hot macchiato. With a fun swirl in the foam and a beautiful big white round ceramic cup on a saucer, I was served.
