Loganville, WI. On Wednesday evening Feb. 15 at the town hall in Loganville, Wisconsin, Sheriff Richard Mack spoke to a crowd of over 200 supporters of Vernon Hershberger. Vernon is facing criminal charges in Sauk County from the Wisconsin's Department of Agriculture Trade and Consumer Protection (DATCAP) and the State Attorney General's office which is prosecuting Vernon for selling fresh, unpasteurized milk.
Sheriff Mack is challenging county sheriffs across the country to keep their oaths of office which require them to swear (or affirm) that they will support the constitution of the United States and the constitution of their respective states. He said a sheriff that resorts to the common phrase, "I don't make the laws, I just enforce them," is violating his oath of office, and betraying the trust the people of his county have placed in him to protect their liberties.
