A Review of the book, Grave Influence by Brannon Howse

            In 1990 the late David Breese published a landmark book entitled Seven Men Who Rule the World from the Grave. This book was not a benchmark in its content; historians knew that what the book presented was true. It was significant because it brought to the layperson an insiders look at key people who have influenced American society for the last several decades. Not all the men highlighted were Americans. Indeed, Charles Darwin and Karl Marx were two of the chief focuses. But all have had a profound influence on America, if not the entire world.

            In 2009 Brannon Howse wrote a similar book entitled Grave Influence. The subtitle is, 21 Radicals and Their Worldviews that Rule America from the Grave. The author does not try to cover the exact same ground as Breese but to add to it and update it for twenty-first century readers. Though he does not neglect the influence of the seven men cited in Breese's book, Howse adds fourteen additional enemies of the free world. The titles of both books indicate that influential people of the past, through a faulty worldview, continue their destructive influence on the present and future generations even after death.
