Are You Getting Restful, Healing Sleep

As many as 70 million Americans are affected by a chronic sleep disorder and it is estimated that driver sleepiness is a factor in about 100,000 car accidents each year, resulting in around 1500 deaths. True or false, electronics have no effect on sleep? True or false, some people can be perfectly healthy on 2-3 hours of sleep per night? Both are FALSE! So how well are you sleeping every night and is it having an effect on YOUR health?
Your immune system relies on sleep to stay healthy. Sleep affects how your body reacts to insulin, your ability to make decisions, solve problems, control your emotions and cope with change. Sleep deprivation has been linked to depression, suicide and risk-taking behavior. Lack of sleep has also been shown to increase your risk of obesity.
