"Consider the lilies how they grow: they toil not, they spin not; and yet I say unto you, that Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these." Luke 12:27

We have been learning some pretty technical stuff about gardening the past few issues. Bob & I agree that these are important things to know, but it is also good to remember that gardening should be fun, too. This week, while we are waiting for the vegetable crops to mature, let's talk about flowers. I must confess that my love of gardening started at my Grandmother's side while we identified and picked flowers to bring into the house. She subscribed to something called "The Flower of the Month" and we could hardly wait to see what new and interesting species would arrive in the mail! There are several types of flowers that I would like to describe, in hopes that those not familiar with the flower world can make wise choices at the greenhouse. Making wise choices means that you won't be disappointed by bringing home plants that don't turn out like you expected.
