Reactions to the Penn State Tragedy

Anyone who even occasionally keeps up on the news will be aware of the sexual abuse tragedy that exploded across the Penn State Campus and nation in November. As a result, legendary football coach Joe Paterno and the college president Graham B. Spanier were fired. Many responses have been forthcoming. Students rioted when they learned that their beloved coach had been dismissed. Others simply exonerated or condemned Paterno verbally. Albert Mohler, in his inimitable way, wrote an article entitled, "The Tragic Lessons of Penn State - A Call to Action." In it he presented what he viewed as a Christian response to tragic situations like this. But did he get all of it right?
Mohler begins the article with a summary of what happened and the results. I will quote directly from his article.
