The Eau Claire Tea Party Begins Plans For Another Tax Day Rally

Over thirty citizens concerned about the federal and state deficits and the uncontrolled spending rampant in the government, met Tuesday evening February 9th and Monday evening February 22nd to begin planning for this years events. Many new faces were there to find out how they could help to get the Tea Party message to local, state and federal politicians that their irresponsible spending, intrusive regulations, and disregard for the Constitution will no longer be consented to by the people.

The planners readily point out that the Tea Party is not just about excessive taxation. It goes much deeper than that, they say. They see corruption in government that must be weeded out. They see a lack of transparency. They say there representatives are not listening to them, and that they display an arrogance and elitism that is unbecoming of a public servant. They have no interest in be affiliated with any political party, nor do they envision that they will become a political party.
