You Can Buy A Car That Can Fly!

Written By: Travis Buhler  |  Posted: Tuesday, March 16th, 2010

No, it is not a flying car. It's an airplane that can drive. Nevertheless, it is a dream come true. Now you can fly to work - if you have an airport near your home and business. You only need a driver's license - to drive it of course, not to fly it.
For those of you with a sports pilot license though, this airplane will be very convenient. The Terrafugia Transition can be driven on any road, uses unleaded gasoline, and fits into standard car garages, which saves pilots the high costs of airplane fuel and hanger rental - not to mention renting a car when you reach your destination. Its wings are foldable and can change in and out of modes in 30 seconds.
It can fly for distances of up to 450 miles at 115 mph on a single tank. On the highway it gets up to 30 miles per gallon and can drive at highway speeds.
So if you can save up an extra $194, 000 by 2011 - and get yourself a pilot's license - you will be the talk of the town every time you fill up your new car/airplane. Visit terrafugia.com for more details.
