Nineteen Year Old Becomes Mayor of Rice Lake

Romaine Quinn is a student of political science at U.W. Barron County, but he may have to leave school for some serious on-the-job training. The City of Rice Lake has just elected him as it's youngest mayor in history.

Romaine has spent the last year on the city council and decided to run for mayor against incumbent Dan Fitzgerald. Says Quinn "there are many issues to address, stemming from the DNR's mandate of storm water control and sidewalks to everyday trying to balance the budget (which is) becoming more and more difficult."
