Dan Mielke is a Republican Candidate for the 7th Congressional District. That seat is currently held by Dave Obey who has chosen not to run for re-election. Dave is in a primary election battle with Sean Duffy, the Republican Party's endorsed candidate. Dan is married with three grown children and three grandchildren. He has a range of experience from factory worker to business owner to farmer. He has been fighting for the rights of the unborn for forty years, and he has been a Christian minister for thirty-four years. He believes career politicians are much of the problem with Washington. He said, "Our founding fathers built a nation on the principle that our country would be governed by the people themselves. To allow a representative to remain in office for 41 years creates the very problem our forefathers tried to prevent."
Dan said he is very concerned about the job losses in our nation, and said, "We cannot continue to send our jobs and industry outside our borders. America cannot survive if we continue to export our jobs and industry to other nations. I will work to create a work environment that draws business and industry to America."
