There are many Christians - many strong Christians - who have strong opinions on our current immigration debate. But are they right? And, how do they know?
There are many variations of views stemming from two opposite poles concerning immigration - the two poles being total federal control of who and how many immigrants get in and the other being open borders and offers of amnesty. And there are truckloads of stats and news stories backing up each side of the debate. Looking at them can confuse the best of us. Do immigrants prosper our economy or hurt it? What about the long-term versus the short term? Does immigration increase crime or is it the drug-lords? Can we afford to start deporting illegal immigrants or can we afford not to?
